image

WHEN: Saturday, July 25, 2009, 4 pm

WHERE: International Action Center 55 West 17th Street, 5th floor (bet 5th &6th Aves)

To commemorate July 27, the date of the signing of the Korean War Armistice in
1953, a FREE seminar and concert will be held at the International Action
Center (Union Square West) to increase public awareness for the necessity of a
Peace Treaty in Korea.

The program includes a presentation by Christine Ahn of the Korea Policy
Institute, performing artists Joe from Brown Rice Family and Taiyo Na, and
Korean Poong Mool*

Nodutdol is among a nation-wide network of Korean-American, veterans and human
rights organizations working together to call on the U.S. government to sign a
Peace Treaty to officially end the Korean War. The Korean peninsula has been
divided since the signing of an armistice by the United States, China, and
North Korea on July 27, 1953. The armistice is only a temporary cease-fire,
and the Korean peninsula has been in a perpetual state of war since 1950.

Enjoy food and music while lending an ear to our message for peace!
